Bryce Thomas Commits to University of Houston
Bryce Thomas, a 2027 kicker from Bellevue West High School in Bellevue, Nebraska, has committed to the University of Houston. Thomas, a 6-foot-1, 170-pound specialist, chose the Cougars over other Power Five offers from Nebraska and Iowa State. The Bellevue West Thunderbirds standout cited Houston's strong kicking game as a key factor in his decision, noting that he will have the opportunity to compete for a starting role immediately. The Cougars' 4-3 scheme, which features a strong emphasis on field position, aligns with Thomas' skills and playing style. Additionally, Thomas was drawn to Houston's academic program and the opportunities available to student-athletes. Thomas had previously committed to Nebraska but reopened his recruitment in April. He is expected to enroll at Houston in the summer of 2027.
