Summer Sprints for Spartans: WR Drill for Lincoln East

๐Ÿ“ Lincoln East SpartansยทMonday, July 6, 2026ยทFridayNightPulse Insider

Lincoln East Spartans' wide receivers are gearing up for a dominant season, and a key component of their pre-season training is the 'Route Runner's Sprint' drill. This high-intensity workout targets speed, agility, and route-running precision. The drill consists of 3 sets of 10 reps, with a 30-second rest between sets. Players start at the 10-yard line, sprinting to the 20-yard line, then quickly change direction to run a 5-yard out route, cutting back to the 10-yard line. Coaches shout 'Quick feet, eyes on the QB!' as players focus on explosive acceleration and sharp cuts. This drill translates to game performance by improving WRs' ability to separate from defenders and quickly change direction on the field.
