Trevon Davis Commits to Texas Tech
Kearney Bearcats kicker Trevon Davis has committed to Texas Tech University for the Class of 2025. The 6-foot-2, 180-pound specialist joins the Red Raiders after a successful high school career. Davis's commitment to Texas Tech is a result of the school's strong kicking game and depth chart opportunity. The Red Raiders' 4-3 scheme, which features a strong emphasis on field position, aligns with Davis's skills as a kicker. Additionally, Texas Tech's academic program in the College of Engineering stood out to Davis. He initially committed to the University of Nebraska in April 2023 but decommitted in January 2024. This new commitment marks a significant development in Davis's recruitment process. As a senior, Davis will look to lead the Bearcats to a strong season and potentially earn a spot on the NSAA All-State team.
