Panthers' Flag Football Standouts Eye College Opportunities Amid NHIAA Expansion
Nashua South Panthers' girls flag football team is primed for a strong inaugural season in New Hampshire, but top talent may be eyeing opportunities in Texas. The University Interscholastic League's (NHIAA) pilot district expansion for flag football is creating new scholarship pathways for Texas athletes. The University of Nebraska, led by coaches Liz and Katie Sowers, is set to launch its inaugural NCAA Division 1 flag football program in 2028. Meanwhile, Ottawa University, Kansas, and Keiser University, Florida, offer NAIA scholarships to top recruits. Midland University, Nebraska, is also actively recruiting flag football talent. As NHIAA's expansion creates more opportunities for Texas athletes, Nashua South's standout players are encouraged to research and reach out to these verified scholarship programs.
