At Seton Hall Prep, our Pirates DEs are gearing up for a dominant season with a game-changing drill: the 'Rush & Recover' series. This 3-set, 6-rep drill targets speed, agility, and explosive power. Set 1: DEs start in a 3-point stance, rush 10 yards, and immediately recover to a 3-point stance. Set 2: Add a defender to block, focusing on quick feet and hand placement. Set 3: Increase the distance to 15 yards, emphasizing speed and acceleration. Coaching cues: 'Fast feet, fast hands!' and 'Recover, reload, repeat!' This drill translates to game performance by improving DEs' ability to quickly close gaps and recover to the ball. By mastering the 'Rush & Recover' series, our Pirates DEs will be unstoppable on the field.
