Marauders' Shutdown Corner: Bryce Williams' Path to Stardom
St. Peter's Prep's Bryce Williams, a Class of 2027 cornerback, recorded 12 pass breakups in his first 10 games as a Marauders starter, leading the Non-Public A division in the category. The transfer from Georgia, where he played for a Class 5A school, has quickly adapted to the NJSIAA's Non-Public A landscape. Williams' speed and agility allow him to cover receivers in man-to-man situations, and his instincts have improved his ability to read the quarterback's eyes. His transition has been seamless, earning him a spot on the All-Area team. Scouts are now looking to see how Williams handles the physicality of the Non-Public A division, particularly in the run game, where he will be asked to support the linebackers. They will also be watching to see if he can maintain his high level of play throughout the season, as the Marauders look to make a deep run in the playoffs.
