Marcus Young Commits to UTSA Roadrunners
St. Peter's Prep Marauders safety Marcus Young has committed to UTSA, bolstering the Roadrunners' secondary for the 2027 season. The Class of 2026 standout chose UTSA due to its aggressive 3-4 defensive scheme, which aligns with his athletic abilities. Young's commitment also presents an opportunity to contribute immediately, as he projects to start at free safety. The UTSA academic program, known for its strong business and engineering programs, also appealed to Young's academic interests. The 6-foot-1, 185-pound safety recorded 55 tackles and four interceptions as a junior, showcasing his potential to make an impact at the next level. Young had previously committed to another program but reopened his recruitment in May, ultimately selecting the Roadrunners after visiting campus in June.
