Junior day visits are a critical component of the recruiting process for top tight end prospects at Non-Public A programs like Don Bosco Prep. Coaches are looking for players who can contribute immediately, and one key metric is the ability to block at the point of attack. Coaches want to see TEs who can seal the edge and spring their running backs for big gains. For example, a TE who can move a defender 3-4 yards off the ball on a single block is a major plus. To showcase this skill, TEs should focus on their footwork, hand placement and body positioning during drills.
