Trevon Thomas Commits to Iowa State
Bergen Catholic wide receiver Trevon Thomas has committed to Iowa State University, the school announced Friday. The Class of 2026 standout chose the Cyclones over other Power Five offers, citing Iowa State's spread offense as a key factor in his decision. Thomas will have the opportunity to contribute immediately as a freshman, as the Cyclones' receiving corps is expected to be depleted due to graduation. Academically, Thomas was drawn to Iowa State's strong reputation for engineering and computer science programs. The 6-foot-2, 190-pound receiver holds a 3.5 GPA and scored 1,200 yards and 15 touchdowns as a junior. Thomas previously decommitted from Rutgers in January, but ultimately chose Iowa State after re-evaluating his options. He is expected to enroll at Iowa State in the fall of 2027.
