Baylor Lands Cleveland Storm QB Darius Jackson
Cleveland Storm Class of 2025 quarterback Darius Jackson has committed to Baylor University. The 6-foot-2, 190-pound signal-caller chose the Bears over offers from Arizona State, Colorado and Oregon State, among others. Jackson's decision to commit to Baylor was influenced by the team's pro-style offense, which aligns with his strengths as a pocket passer. He also cited the Bears' depth chart opportunity, as he is expected to compete for the starting job immediately upon arrival. Additionally, Baylor's strong academic program and reputation for producing well-rounded student-athletes were key factors in his decision. Jackson previously held a commitment to Texas A&M, but decommitted in February after a coaching change. He is expected to enroll at Baylor in January 2025 and participate in spring practice. The Storm's loss is a significant gain for the Baylor program, as Jackson is considered one of the top quarterback prospects in the state of New Mexico.
