Game-Changing CB Drill for Liberty Patriots: 'Shadow and React'

The Liberty Patriots' secondary is looking to take their game to the next level, and we've got a drill that's sure to help. Introducing the 'Shadow and React' drill, designed to improve CBs' ability to stay with receivers and react to the ball.

**Setup:** Set up two cones 10 yards apart, with a third cone 5 yards beyond the second one. Have a receiver start at the first cone and run a 5-yard out route.

**Drill:** The CB starts at the third cone and shadows the receiver, staying 3-4 yards off. As the receiver turns to run the out route, the CB reacts to the ball, staying in phase with the receiver. The CB should be able to stay with the receiver and make a play on the ball.

**Sets and Reps:** 3 sets of 10 reps, with 30 seconds rest between sets.

**Coaching Cues:** 'Stay in phase,' 'react to the ball,' and 'keep your eyes on the receiver.' This drill translates to game performance by improving the CB's ability to stay with receivers and make plays on the ball. It's a game-changer for any 5A program looking to dominate in the secondary.
