As the NIAA flag football pilot district expansion creates new opportunities for Texas athletes, Bishop Gorman Gaels girls flag football recruits are eyeing verified scholarship programs. The University of Nebraska, led by coaches Liz and Katie Sowers, is set to launch its inaugural 2028 season, offering Power 4 status and NCAA Division 1 competition. Ottawa University, Kansas, a national powerhouse, offers up to 12 NAIA scholarships. Keiser University, Florida, and Midland University, Nebraska, are active recruiters, providing additional pathways for Gaels players. UT Arlington, a developing NCAA Division 1 program, may offer scholarships in the future. Gaels players can research and reach out to these programs to explore scholarship opportunities and prepare for the 2028 season.
