Girls flag football prospects from Liberty High School in Henderson, Nevada, have a unique opportunity to be part of a pioneering program. The University of Nebraska is launching its NCAA Division 1 flag football team in 2028, led by coaches Liz and Katie Sowers. The Cornhuskers will offer scholarships to top recruits. Liberty players can take the first step by attending summer camps and showcases to gain exposure. Ottawa University, Kansas, and Keiser University, Florida, also offer NAIA flag football scholarships. Midland University, Nebraska, is actively recruiting. UT Arlington, a developing NCAA Division 1 program, is expected to offer scholarships in the future. Athletes should research and reach out to these schools to explore verified scholarship pathways.
