Reno Huskies CB DeShawn Davis Commits to Arkansas
Reno Huskies Class of 2027 cornerback DeShawn Davis has committed to the University of Arkansas. The 5-foot-10, 170-pound Davis chose the Razorbacks over offers from Nevada, Utah State, and San Jose State. Arkansas' 3-4 defensive scheme, which features a strong emphasis on press coverage, aligns with Davis' aggressive playing style. The Razorbacks' secondary depth chart is expected to be a major competition, with Davis likely to vie for a starting spot early in his career. Additionally, Arkansas' academic programs in business and communications caught Davis' attention. Davis had previously committed to Nevada in February 2025 but decommitted in April 2026 to explore other options.
