FridayNightPulse Training Tip: Huskie Hurdle Blast for 5A RBs

๐Ÿ“ Reno HuskiesยทThursday, July 16, 2026ยทFridayNightPulse Insider

This summer, get a head start on the competition with the Huskie Hurdle Blast drill, designed specifically for 5A running backs like Reno Huskies' star player, Alex Johnson. This drill targets explosive acceleration, agility, and power. To set up, place 5 hurdles 10 yards apart. Perform 3 sets of 10 reps, focusing on proper running form and explosive acceleration through each hurdle. Coaching cues: 'Drive through the hurdle,' 'Keep your head up,' and 'Finish with power.' The Huskie Hurdle Blast translates to game performance by improving RBs' ability to quickly change direction, accelerate through holes, and break tackles. By incorporating this drill into your training regimen, you'll be ready to dominate on the field this fall.
