Bishop Gorman Gaels flag football standout, junior Sofia Rodriguez, is generating buzz among college coaches. The 5A Las Vegas powerhouse has caught the attention of University of Nebraska's inaugural flag football program, led by coaches Liz and Katie Sowers, as well as NAIA powerhouses Ottawa University, Kansas, and Keiser University, Florida. Rodriguez is also drawing interest from Midland University, Nebraska, which has a history of recruiting top talent. While UT Arlington's developing program has expressed interest, it has yet to offer scholarships. For Rodriguez and other local flag football athletes, this summer's camps and combines will be crucial in solidifying scholarship offers.
