Reno Huskies Flag Football Prospect Draws Attention from Nebraska, NAIA Programs

๐Ÿ“ Reno HuskiesยทThursday, July 16, 2026ยทFridayNightPulse Insider

Reno Huskies flag football standout, sophomore quarterback Maya Jenkins, has caught the eye of University of Nebraska coaches Liz and Katie Sowers, as well as NAIA programs Ottawa University, Kansas, and Keiser University, Florida. Jenkins' impressive performance at a recent summer camp has sparked interest in her services. Ottawa University, a national powerhouse with up to 12 scholarships available, has already extended an invitation for Jenkins to visit their campus. Keiser University, an active recruiter in the NAIA, has also expressed interest in Jenkins' abilities. Meanwhile, Midland University, Nebraska, is scheduled to host Jenkins for a summer camp later this month. As UT Arlington's NCAA D1 program continues to develop, it remains to be seen if they will offer scholarships in the near future. Jenkins' family is advised to research and understand the scholarship opportunities available at each program before making a decision.
