Liberty Patriots Flag Football Recruits, NIAA Expansion Opens New Scholarship Doors

๐Ÿ“ Liberty PatriotsยทSaturday, July 18, 2026ยทFridayNightPulse Insider

As NIAA's flag football pilot district expansion creates new pathways for Texas athletes, Liberty Patriots' standout players are eyeing opportunities beyond their home state. The University of Nebraska, led by coaches Liz and Katie Sowers, is set to launch its inaugural NCAA Division 1 flag football program in 2028, offering scholarships to top recruits. Other NAIA powerhouses, such as Ottawa University, Kansas, and Keiser University, Florida, are actively recruiting flag football talent. Midland University, Nebraska, also offers scholarships to qualified athletes. While UT Arlington's NCAA Division 1 program is in development, it has not yet begun offering scholarships. Liberty Patriots' top performers are encouraged to research and reach out to these schools to explore verified scholarship opportunities.
