Reno Huskies Break Ground on $3M Facility Upgrade

The Reno Huskies football program officially broke ground on a $3 million facility upgrade Thursday, a move expected to significantly impact the team's recruiting and competitiveness in the 5A Northern League. The Huskies finished last season with a 6-5 record, narrowly missing the playoffs. The new facility will feature state-of-the-art weight rooms, locker rooms and training areas, as well as a renovated stadium with improved seating and concessions. Program officials say the upgrade will not only attract top talent from the region but also provide a more professional environment for players to develop their skills. The Huskies are expected to unveil the new facility in time for the start of the season, which kicks off in late August.
