Bishop Gorman Gaels Girls Flag Football Recruits Eye National Powerhouses Amid NIAA Expansion

As the NIAA expands its flag football pilot districts, top Texas talent is turning its attention to national powerhouse programs. Bishop Gorman Gaels standouts are being courted by the University of Nebraska, which will launch its inaugural NCAA Division 1 program in 2028 under the guidance of coaches Liz and Katie Sowers. The Cornhuskers are offering scholarships to top recruits, paving the way for Gaels players to compete at the highest level. Ottawa University, Kansas, and Keiser University, Florida, are also actively recruiting Gaels athletes, offering up to 12 scholarships. Midland University, Nebraska, is another program to watch, with its active recruiting efforts. Meanwhile, UT Arlington is developing its program, but has not yet begun offering scholarships.
