Canandaigua Braves Girls Flag Football Players Target Verified Scholarship Programs
As the inaugural 2028 season approaches for the University of Nebraska's Power 5 girls flag football program, the Canandaigua Braves are identifying verified scholarship pathways for their top players. Coaches Liz and Katie Sowers are actively recruiting talented athletes from across the country. In addition to Nebraska, the Braves are targeting NAIA programs with established flag football scholarships, including Ottawa University, Kansas, with up to 12 available scholarships, and Keiser University, Florida. Midland University, Nebraska, is also an active recruiter. While UT Arlington's NCAA D1 program is in development, it has not yet begun offering scholarships. Braves players can demonstrate their skills through highlight tapes and summer camps, positioning themselves for potential scholarship opportunities.
