Elijah Wilson Commits to Iowa State
Long Island Lutheran Crusaders safety Elijah Wilson has committed to Iowa State University for the Class of 2027. The 6-foot-1, 180-pound Wilson chose the Cyclones over offers from Boston College, Syracuse and Rutgers. Iowa State's defensive scheme, which features a 3-3-5 alignment, is a good fit for Wilson's skills as a ball-hawking safety. He also appreciates the Cyclones' depth chart opportunity, as the team is expected to be thin at safety this season. Additionally, Wilson is drawn to Iowa State's academic program, which is highly regarded in the Big 12 Conference. Wilson was previously committed to Boston College but decommitted in April after a coaching change. He will now join a Cyclones secondary that is looking to improve its pass defense this season. Wilson's commitment to Iowa State is a significant pickup for the program as it prepares for the 2026 season.
