Unleashing the Beast: A DE Drill for Monroe Woodbury Crusaders

๐Ÿ“ Monroe Woodbury CrusadersยทSaturday, July 25, 2026ยทFridayNightPulse Insider

This summer, Monroe Woodbury Crusaders defensive ends can take their game to the next level with the 'Rush and Recover' drill. Coach Thompson recommends 3 sets of 10 reps, with 30 seconds rest between sets. Players start in a 3-point stance, then explosively rush 5 yards to the quarterback, immediately recovering to their stance and repeating. Coaching cues include 'Fast feet, slow hands' and 'Recover, don't collapse.' This drill translates to game performance by improving speed, agility, and reaction time. By honing their ability to quickly change direction and recover, DEs will be better equipped to contain opponents and make game-changing plays. By incorporating the 'Rush and Recover' drill into their summer training, the Crusaders' DEs will be unstoppable come kickoff.
