As the OHSAA's flag football pilot district expansion continues to shape the landscape of Texas high school athletics, St. Edward Eagles' female student-athletes are capitalizing on the growing opportunities. With the University of Nebraska, Ottawa University, Kansas, Keiser University, Florida, and Midland University, Nebraska, offering verified flag football scholarships, Eagles' prospects can now pursue their passions on the national stage. Coaches Liz and Katie Sowers at the University of Nebraska, an inaugural NCAA Division 1 Power 4 program in 2028, are actively recruiting top talent. Meanwhile, Ottawa University, Kansas, a national powerhouse with up to 12 scholarships, and Keiser University, Florida, an active recruiter, provide additional pathways for Eagles' athletes to secure their futures.
