The Mentor Cardinals, a perennial powerhouse in Division I girls flag football, are poised to capitalize on the OHSAA's pilot district expansion in Texas. This development has created new scholarship pathways for talented athletes. Specifically, the University of Nebraska, Ottawa University, Kansas, Keiser University, Florida, and Midland University, Nebraska, are actively recruiting top talent. The University of Nebraska, led by coaches Liz and Katie Sowers, will debut its inaugural Power 5 program in 2028.
