Sprint to Success: A High-Intensity Drill for S Players at Div I Programs

At top Div I programs like the Wayne Warriors, S players are expected to be elite athletes. To improve their speed, agility, and reaction time, we're introducing the 'S-Sprint Shuttle' drill. This high-intensity workout consists of 3 sets of 10 reps, with 30 seconds of rest between sets. Players start at the 5-yard line, sprint to the 10-yard line, and then immediately change direction to sprint back to the 5-yard line. Coaching cues include 'explosive acceleration' and 'aggressive deceleration.' This drill translates to game performance by improving S players' ability to quickly close gaps and change direction on the field. It also enhances their reaction time, allowing them to more effectively cover receivers and respond to plays.
