Mentor Cardinals' Multisport Star Eyes College Flag Football Opportunities
Mentor, OH - The Mentor Cardinals' star multisport athlete has her sights set on flag football at the collegiate level. With the inaugural NCAA Division 1 flag football season in 2028, the University of Nebraska is a top destination. Coached by Liz and Katie Sowers, the Cornhuskers are poised to make a significant impact in the new league. The Cardinals' standout has been in contact with Ottawa University, Kansas, which offers up to 12 NAIA flag football scholarships. Keiser University, Florida, and Midland University, Nebraska, are also actively recruiting her. UT Arlington, a developing NCAA Division 1 program, has expressed interest as well. To take advantage of these opportunities, the athlete is focusing on perfecting her skills at summer camps and working with her high school coaches to create a highlight reel.
