FridayNightPulse: Archbishop Moeller Crusaders RB Drill for Dominance
This summer, Archbishop Moeller Crusaders running backs can take their game to the next level with the 'Power Through Contact' drill. Designed to improve RBs' ability to break tackles and gain extra yards, this drill requires a combination of strength, speed, and agility. To set up the drill, divide the RBs into pairs, with one player wearing a tackle pad. The other player will attempt to break through the pad, focusing on keeping their legs churning and their arms driving. Perform 3 sets of 10 reps, with a 30-second rest between sets. Coaching cues include 'Keep your legs pumping' and 'Drive through the pad with your shoulders.' This drill translates to game performance by teaching RBs to maintain their speed and momentum through contact, allowing them to break tackles and gain crucial yards.
