Cameron Young Commits to UTSA Roadrunners
St. Edward Eagles running back Cameron Young has committed to the University of Texas at San Antonio Roadrunners for the Class of 2027. The 5-foot-11, 190-pound back chose UTSA over other Division I offers, citing the team's up-tempo offense as a key factor in his decision. Young expects to fill a void at running back for the Roadrunners, who are looking to rebuild their depth chart after a 2025 season that saw significant losses. The UTSA academic program and its strong business and engineering programs also appealed to Young, who plans to pursue a degree in business. Young had previously committed to another Division I program but decommitted earlier this summer to focus on his recruitment. He is expected to report to UTSA's summer camp in late July.
