Tiger-Proofing Your Kickers: A 6A-I Kicking Drill for Broken Arrow's High-Flying Tigers
The summer heat is in full swing, and Broken Arrow's 6A-I Tigers are gearing up for another championship season. For kicker and punter prospects, a strong leg is essential. To take your kicking game to the next level, try this intense drill: "The Tiger Tornado." Set up 3 cones in a triangular formation, with 10 yards between each cone. Have your kicker start at the first cone, then kick a 30-yard field goal. Immediately sprint to the second cone and punt a ball 40 yards. Finish by sprinting to the third cone and kicking a 20-yard field goal. Repeat for 3 sets of 5 reps. Coaching cue: "Drive your legs, snap your hips, and follow through." This drill translates to game performance by building explosive power, improving technique under pressure, and increasing endurance. By mastering the Tiger Tornado, Broken Arrow's kickers will be ready to take on the best of the best come kickoff.
