FridayNightPulse Training Tip: Lake Oswego Lakers Defensive End Drill

๐Ÿ“ Lake Oswego LakersยทFriday, July 3, 2026ยทFridayNightPulse Insider

The 'Rush and Recover' drill is designed to improve the speed, agility, and endurance of 6A defensive ends like Lake Oswego Lakers' standout players. The drill consists of 3 sets of 10 reps, with 30 seconds of rest in between sets. Players start in a three-point stance, then explosively rush 10 yards downfield, planting their outside foot and quickly recovering back to the starting position. Coaching cues include 'quick feet' and 'explosive acceleration.' This drill translates to game performance by improving the ability to chase down ball carriers and recover to the line of scrimmage. By incorporating the 'Rush and Recover' drill into their pre-season training, Lake Oswego Lakers' defensive ends can gain a competitive edge in the 6A classification.
