Precision Passing: A QB Drill for 6A Programs

๐Ÿ“ Sheldon IrishยทMonday, July 13, 2026ยทFridayNightPulse Insider

This summer, quarterbacks at top 6A programs like Sheldon Irish can improve their accuracy and decision-making with a precision passing drill. Set up three stations with a target at each: a small square, a large circle, and a moving target. At each station, have a QB complete 3 sets of 10 reps with a 10-second rest between sets. Coaching cues include: 'Step into the throw,' 'Follow through with your eyes,' and 'Keep your elbow at a 90-degree angle.' This drill translates to game performance by forcing QBs to focus on their mechanics and make quick decisions under pressure. By mastering this drill, QBs will be able to make accurate throws in tight windows and read defenses more effectively.
