Crusader Line Strength: Jesuit OL's Summer Camp Focus

๐Ÿ“ Jesuit CrusadersยทTuesday, July 21, 2026ยทFridayNightPulse Insider

Jesuit Crusaders' 6A football program is gearing up for another strong season, and their offensive line is no exception. This summer, OL players are focusing on a key drill to build power and speed: the 'Med Ball Slam.'

The drill involves holding a 20-30 pound medicine ball and slamming it to the ground, then immediately jumping up and repeating. Coaches will have OLs perform 3 sets of 10 reps, with a 30-second rest between sets.

Coaching cues include: 'Slam the ball like you're blocking a defender,' and 'Quickly recover to maintain balance.' This drill translates to game performance by improving OLs' ability to generate power and explosiveness in their blocks, setting up their teammates for success.
