Tyler Robinson Commits to Texas Tech
Tyler Robinson, a safety from the Pittsburgh Central Catholic Vikings, has committed to Texas Tech University. Robinson, a Class of 2027 prospect, chose the Red Raiders over other Power Five offers. The 5-foot-11, 180-pound defender is expected to fit into Texas Tech's aggressive defensive scheme, which features a 3-4 base alignment. With the departure of several defensive backs from last season's roster, Robinson should have an opportunity to contribute immediately. Texas Tech's strong academic programs and research opportunities also aligned with Robinson's goals. This marks Robinson's second commitment, as he previously decommitted from the University of Pittsburgh in April. Robinson's commitment to Texas Tech adds to the Red Raiders' growing recruiting class.
