Coventry Oakers Break Ground on $2M Facility Upgrade

The Coventry Oakers football program is taking a major step forward with the groundbreaking of a $2 million facility upgrade. The Div II program has seen recent success, posting a 7-3 record in 2025. The upgrade will include new locker rooms, a state-of-the-art weight room and a renovated field house. According to Oakers head coach, John Smith, the upgrade will greatly enhance the recruiting process and give the team a competitive edge. 'This is a game-changer for our program,' Smith said. 'We'll be able to attract top talent from the area and give our players the resources they need to succeed.' The upgrade is expected to be completed in time for the start of the 2026 season.
