Cade Smith Commits to Army West Point

Bishop Hendricken Class of 2027 kicker Cade Smith has committed to Army West Point. Smith, a standout in the Rhode Island Interscholastic League (RIIL), chose the Black Knights for their strong emphasis on special teams and the opportunity to contribute immediately. At 6-foot-2, Smith's size and leg strength make him a natural fit for Army's kicking game. He will look to fill a void left by the graduation of last season's kicker. Smith was previously committed to Navy but decommitted in April to explore other options. He cited Army's rigorous academic program and the chance to play in the Patriot League as key factors in his decision. Smith is expected to enroll in the summer of 2027 and join the team for the upcoming season.
