Marcus White Commits to Texas Tech
La Salle Academy senior safety Marcus White has committed to play for the Texas Tech Red Raiders. White, a 2026 graduate, chose the Big 12 program after a thorough evaluation of his options. The 5-foot-11, 180-pound safety is expected to fit seamlessly into Texas Tech's defensive scheme, which emphasizes athleticism and speed. With the departure of several key defensive backs, White sees an opportunity to contribute immediately, potentially as a starter. Academically, White was drawn to Texas Tech's renowned engineering program, which aligns with his interests. White previously held offers from several Power Five programs, including Boston College and Syracuse, before decommitting in January. He has been training at Texas Tech's summer camp and has developed a strong rapport with the coaching staff. White's commitment marks a significant addition to the Red Raiders' secondary.
