Stallion Strength: South Pointe's Summer Prep Drill
The South Pointe Stallions are known for their explosive plays and dominant performances on the field. But what sets them apart from other teams is their rigorous summer prep regimen. One key drill that has contributed to their success is the 'Box Jump Ladder' workout. This drill involves players jumping in and out of a ladder placed on a box or bench, focusing on quick footwork and explosive power. The workout consists of 3 sets of 10 reps, with 30 seconds of rest in between sets. The ladder is placed at a 45-degree angle, forcing players to use their hips and legs to generate power. This drill works by improving agility, speed, and power, all essential components of a successful football player. By incorporating this drill into their summer prep, the Stallions are able to build the strength and endurance needed to take on their opponents in the fall.
