Pierre Governors' Flag Football Prospects Eye New Scholarship Opportunities

๐Ÿ“ Pierre GovernorsยทMonday, July 20, 2026ยทFridayNightPulse Insider

As the SDHSAA flag football pilot expands to new districts, Texas athletes are gaining access to more scholarship pathways. For the Pierre Governors, this means exploring opportunities beyond their home state. The University of Nebraska, led by coaches Liz and Katie Sowers, is set to launch its inaugural 2028 season with Power 4 status. Nebraska's program is offering scholarships, providing a prime destination for top talent. Other options include Ottawa University, Kansas, with up to 12 scholarships, and Keiser University, Florida, which has been actively recruiting. Midland University, Nebraska, is also an active recruiter. UT Arlington, in development, may offer scholarships in the future. Governors' athletes can take concrete steps by researching these programs and reaching out to coaches directly to discuss potential opportunities.
