FridayNightPulse Training Tip: Kicking Drills for Brandon Valley Lynx

๐Ÿ“ Brandon Valley LynxยทThursday, July 23, 2026ยทFridayNightPulse Insider

At the top 11AA programs like Brandon Valley Lynx, kicking specialists are crucial to team success. To improve accuracy and power, Lynx kicking coach recommends the 'Target Focus' drill. Set up three targets: a 20-yard, 30-yard, and 40-yard kick. Players will kick from the 30-yard line with a focus on hitting the 20-yard target. Start with 3 sets of 5 reps, increasing to 10 reps as players build confidence. Coaching cues: 'Focus on the laces, follow through with your plant foot, and drive your non-kicking foot into the ground.' This drill translates to game performance by improving mental focus, technique, and distance control. By practicing under game-like conditions, Lynx kickers will be ready to make clutch kicks when it matters most.
