Jalen Johnson Commits to UTSA
Tea Area Titans Class of 2027 offensive lineman Jalen Johnson has committed to the University of Texas at San Antonio. Johnson, a 6-foot-4, 280-pound prospect, chose the Roadrunners over offers from Western Illinois and Eastern Illinois. The Titans' standout lineman cited UTSA's 3-4 defensive scheme, which will allow him to utilize his pass-blocking skills, as a key factor in his decision. Johnson also praised the university's strong athletic training program and academic resources, which he believes will help him succeed on and off the field. Johnson previously held offers from South Dakota State and North Dakota, but ultimately decided to commit to the Roadrunners. He is expected to join the UTSA program in the fall of 2027. The commitment is a significant addition to the Roadrunners' 2027 recruiting class, which is shaping up to be one of the top classes in the Southland Conference.
