Whitehaven Tigers' Multisport Star Eyes Flag Football Scholarship Opportunities

๐Ÿ“ Whitehaven TigersยทFriday, July 3, 2026ยทFridayNightPulse Insider

As the inaugural 2028 season approaches, the University of Nebraska's Power 4 flag football program, led by coaches Liz and Katie Sowers, is poised to attract top talent from across the country. For multisport female athletes in the Memphis area, the Whitehaven Tigers' roster, a 6A powerhouse, offers a pipeline to potential flag football scholarship opportunities. One such athlete, a standout in multiple sports, is now focusing on flag football to capitalize on the growing number of NAIA and NCAA Division 1 programs offering scholarships. Ottawa University, Kansas, with up to 12 scholarships, and Keiser University, Florida, an active recruiter, are among the schools to consider. Midland University, Nebraska, also has a strong presence in the region. While UT Arlington is in development, athletes can still explore their options and prepare for the 2028 season.
