Maryville Rebels Hire New Offensive Line Coach

The Maryville Rebels, a 6A program with a 2023 record of 9-4, have hired John Thompson as their new offensive line coach. Thompson brings 10 years of coaching experience, including stints at two other East Tennessee schools. His focus on technique and physical development is expected to bolster the Rebels' offense, which averaged 30 points per game last season. With a strong recruiting class on tap for the fall, Thompson's addition is seen as a key factor in the Rebels' bid to compete for a state championship in Class 6A. The Rebels will begin summer camp in late August, with the regular season kicking off in late August.
