Summer Prep: Allen Eagles OL's Power Position Drill
As the Allen Eagles prepare for another dominant season, their linemen are putting in the work to build strength and power. One key drill they're using in their summer prep is the Power Position drill. This exercise targets the legs, core, and upper body, helping OL players develop the explosive power needed to dominate on the field. The drill involves players starting in a three-point stance, then explosively driving their feet into the ground and pushing a sled or partner forward for 10-15 yards. They repeat for 3-4 sets of 8-10 reps, resting for 60-90 seconds between sets. This drill works by building strength in the legs and core, while also improving coordination and timing. By incorporating the Power Position drill into their training, the Allen Eagles OL is primed for a strong season.
