Trevon Young Commits to Iowa State

Prosper Eagles wide receiver Trevon Young has committed to Iowa State University, the school announced Thursday. The Class of 2027 prospect chose the Cyclones over offers from several Power Five programs. Young's commitment comes after a productive summer camp session with Iowa State coaches, where he showcased his skills in the team's spread offense. The 6-foot-2 receiver is expected to compete for a starting role in the Cyclones' receiving corps, which lost several key contributors to graduation. Iowa State's strong academic program and reputation for developing NFL talent also factored into Young's decision. The Prosper product had previously committed to Texas Tech in February but reopened his recruitment in May. Young's commitment gives Iowa State its first commitment from the Class of 2027.
