DeShawn Moore Commits to Army Football
Southlake Carroll standout defensive end DeShawn Moore has committed to play football at the United States Military Academy. Moore, a 6-foot-3, 220-pound Class of 2025 prospect, chose Army over offers from several other service academies. The athletic fit was a major factor in Moore's decision, as he believes Army's 3-4 scheme will allow him to showcase his pass-rushing abilities. Moore is expected to compete for a starting spot on the defensive line, where he will have the opportunity to learn from experienced coaches and players. Moore also cited Army's strong academic program and leadership development opportunities as key factors in his decision. Moore had initially committed to Navy in 2023 but decommitted in January to explore other options. Moore is considered one of the top uncommitted prospects in the state of Texas for the Class of 2025.
