Gunter Tigers Flag Football Prospects Eye Nebraska's Inaugural 2028 Season

๐Ÿ“ Gunter TigersยทFriday, July 10, 2026ยทFridayNightPulse Insider

As the University of Nebraska prepares to launch its inaugural NCAA Division 1 flag football program in 2028, prospects from the Gunter Tigers are taking notice. Coached by the renowned Sowers sisters, Liz and Katie, Nebraska's program is expected to be a major player in the college flag football landscape. For Gunter's top flag football talent, this development presents a significant opportunity for scholarship consideration. Ottawa University, Kansas, and Keiser University, Florida, are also active recruiters in the NAIA, offering up to 12 scholarships. Midland University, Nebraska, is another NAIA program with a track record of recruiting flag football talent. UT Arlington's NCAA Division 1 program is in development, but not yet offering scholarships. Gunter prospects interested in flag football scholarships should focus on building relationships with these programs and creating highlight tapes to showcase their skills.
