As the UIL expands its flag football pilot district, Texas athletes are gaining access to new scholarship pathways. The University of Nebraska, set to launch its inaugural 2028 season, has already begun recruiting top talent. Coaches Liz and Katie Sowers are seeking skilled players to join their team. Ottawa University, Kansas, a national powerhouse, offers up to 12 NAIA scholarships. Keiser University, Florida, and Midland University, Nebraska, are also actively recruiting. UT Arlington, a developing NCAA D1 program, is expected to offer scholarships in the near future.
