Marcus Jackson Commits to Iowa State
DeSoto Eagles quarterback Marcus Jackson has committed to play for Iowa State University. The Class of 2026 signal-caller chose the Cyclones over other Power Five offers, citing the team's pro-style offense and the opportunity to compete for a starting role. Iowa State's academic programs in business and engineering also align with Jackson's interests. The 6-foot-2, 190-pound quarterback is expected to compete for the backup spot behind returning starter, according to Cyclones' head coach. Jackson had previously committed to Texas Tech in January 2025, but re-opened his recruitment in March 2026 after visiting several schools, including Iowa State and Oklahoma. He will join a Cyclones' program that finished 2025 with a 6-7 overall record and a 3-6 mark in Big 12 Conference play.
