Lone Peak Knights Flag Footballers Eye New Scholarship Opportunities

๐Ÿ“ Lone Peak KnightsยทWednesday, July 1, 2026ยทFridayNightPulse Insider

Lone Peak Knights flag football players are poised to capitalize on the UIL's expanded pilot district, which will provide increased exposure to top collegiate programs. The NCAA's Emerging Sports for Women program, established in January 2026, has already seen the University of Nebraska launch a fully funded D1 varsity program. NAIA institutions such as Ottawa University (KS) and Keiser University (FL) offer active scholarships, while Midland University (NE) also provides opportunities. UT Arlington's developing D1 program in Texas is another potential destination for top talent. To access these scholarships, Lone Peak athletes must meet the eligibility requirements and showcase their skills in front of college coaches. With the UIL's expanded pilot district, the Knights will have more opportunities to compete against top teams and gain the visibility needed to secure scholarships.
